General Manager – CFP Software

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To oversee the operational performance of CFP Software and support the CFP Managing Director in the sales and product strategy for the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the development of sales processes, support processes and development processes, tools and capabilities in the locations, based on best practices and guidelines, and ensure the deployment and implementation in the teams, in order to contribute to an efficient and effective commercial operation.
• Coordinate monthly business performance for each department, monitoring and reporting the achievement of agreed objectives in line with agreed PSG objectives and strategy in order to maximize sales revenue, ensuring that corrective action is being taken as necessary.
• Manage, motivate and develop staff across the CFP business, in line with the HR strategy of PSG in order to be well equipped for current and future business challenges and contribute to the optimisation of business results
• Support the implementation of the agreed business plan and budget during the business year including the achievement of budgeted P&L and delivery against Management KPIs.
• Working effectively with the PSG Marketing Director to maximise market penetration through local and national marketing campaigns and sales promotions.
• Actively champion customer care initiatives in line with Group standards, across the designated business centres.
• Liaise with the PSG Financial Controller to ensure that the operation is managed in line with Group accounting practices and procedures with responsibility for achieving a clean audit report at the end of the business year.
• Support the implementation of all group initiatives in terms of changes to the current product portfolio and the development and implementation of new products.
• Work as part of the management structure, attending management meetings, contributing to project teams and helping to develop the commercial/business plans for CFP Software Limited
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Proven track record of directly managing a team of plus 20 staff in a customer-focused environment.
• Commercially astute with P&L experience and financial acumen.
• Strong operational and delivery focused skills across multiple functions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership skills – able to lead, inspire and coach where required.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with experience of managing in a commercial environment.
• Commitment to maintaining and measuring standards.
• Problem solving ability, strong analytical and business planning skills
• Able to resolve complex problems and challenges as they arise
MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience of holding a senior position within the Lettings/Property Management industry
• Experience of working at Senior Management level with a proven track record of success
• Educated to a minimum of A’Level or equivalent
• Proven track record of directly managing a team of plus 20 staff in a customer-focused environment
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Graduate qualification
• Qualifications in Property Management
• Experience of managing Software Development
• Technical understanding of internet/portals/networks
• Experience of marketing/business development
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9 am - 5.30pm – 37.5 hours
Reporting to: Managing Director, CFP Software
Location: Redruth (with travel to other PSG locations as required)
